Baptism is the foundation of the Christian life and the first of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. It initiates us into the Church, frees us from original sin, and rebirths us as children of God. By being baptized, we become members of Christ and share in the Church's mission. This sacrament, along with Confirmation and Eucharist, forms the Sacraments of Christian Initiation, marking our entry into the life of faith and the beginning of our spiritual journey.
